Hospital Chaplaincy

St George’s Hospital has a full time Roman Catholic chaplain Fr. Philip Pak and an assistant chaplain Fr. Habte Ukbay. They can be contacted on the chaplaincy’s direct line 020 8725 3069 or you can call the hospital switchboard 020 8672 1255 and ask for bleep 6212.

Fr. Pak is on duty Thursday to Monday every week.
Fr. Habte is on duty Tuesday and Wednesday every week.
If you or someone you know is in hospital and would like to see the Roman Catholic chaplain, please let the nursing staff know and they will get in touch with the chaplain on duty at the time.

Fr. Philip Pak, B.A. DIP.TH.

Fr. Pak’s family come from South Korea. He studied for the priesthood at Wonersh the Diocesan Seminary and was ordained a priest in 2003. Since his ordination, Fr. Pak has served as an assistant priest at Tunbridge Wells parish in Kent, until his appointment on 1st September 2008 to St. George’s Hospital when he took over from Fr. Peter Murphy as Roman Catholic chaplain.
