He did two years National Service from 1954 to 1956 in the Royal Army Service core, followed by two years at Capion House, Osterley, then four years at the Beda College in Rome. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1971 by the then Bishop of Portsmouth; Bishop Derek Worlock.
Fr Bonvini was appointed assistant priest at the following parishes: St John in Gravesend, Kent 1971 St Ephege in Wallington, Surrey 1979 Holy Innocents, Orpington, Kent 1983. Then appointed parish priest to the parish of St Simon, Walderslade, Kent 1986.
Fr Bonvini is a judge on the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal and sits on the Second Instance Court.

Fr Ernest Bonvini has been our parish priest since 26 January 1993. Born in Lambeth, South London, Fr Bonvini was educated at St. Patrick’s RC Primary School and The Salesian College, Battersea.

Fr Britto originates from India, where he was ordained. He has pursued an academic path, holding four master degrees in Chemistry, Psychology, Education and recently in Pastoral Theology from the University of London.
He has been a visiting lecturer in Chemistry and taught in religious, secular and teacher training institutes in India.
Fr. Britto has travelled widely and has included attending conferences, seminars and preaching. He is the chair of Sevai Society UK, a registered charity to help abandoned children and their education in India. His recent experience was a summer term as a naval chaplain in the United States Navy, Washington, D.C. where he received citations to his achievement and he was priviledged to meet with President Bush. He was interviewed by The BBC for the World News on the death of Pope John Paul II. Fr. Britto is currently pursuing PhD studies in Ireland and is working on a book about Indian Shrines.

Fr. Michael J. Britto has been appointed as assistant priest. He has served in various parishes in the Archdiocese of Southwark-Tooting Bec, Waddon, Maidstone South and Carshalton.

Sr Bridget O’Brien (Sr Bridie) was born and educated in Tipperary, Ireland. She entered religious life in 1951, and did her teachers’ training at Digby Stuart Training College.
Sr Bridie took up a teaching post at St Joseph’s RC, Exmouth in 1968. She became a parish sister at St Francis de Sales, Stockwell in 1983. In 1995 Sr Bridie did pastoral care at Nursing Home Bromley.
Sr Bridie became parish sister at our parish, St Boniface Tooting in 2000.
