Our group is small and we aim to provide an ecumenical approach within the work we do in addition to supporting specifically the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta. We collect clothes donated by various people and pack and dispatch these to the very needy overseas, as well as the Hostels provided by the Sisters of Mother Teresa in London, and The Passage.

We knit, sew and collect and trim stamps which are then passed on to the appropriate organisations. Our group also endeavours to focus on the needs of people within the parish and we visit the sick and housebound and seek to provide support within our individual limitations.

In keeping with the spirit and teaching of Mother Teresa we are ever conscious of the need for ensuring that prayer is an intrinsic part of our work, and service to the poor.

New leader needed

Our group has been in existence at St Boniface for some years. However, due to circumstances beyond our control we are faced with disbanding the group unless we can find someone prepared to take over as leader. The work involved is rewarding and provides support for very needy people at home and abroad.

To find out more details of the leader’s role please contact Helen (without any obligation) on telephone number 020 8769 6484.
